How to plant a tree or shrub
First, take a look at the size of the container and dig your hole one and a half times wider than that container. You don’t really need to go much deeper than just to get the plant in at about the surface level of your soil.
Get your plant in a nice soil, like a soil-building compost, something that’s really going to get that plant off to a good start.
To make sure it’s got that solid start, use a root stimulator, which basically tells that plant to wake up and start to grow. It takes it out of that shock of being transplanted.
It is important to water thoroughly when you first plant a tree or shrub and keep a close eye on it until it is rooted in well.
